fresh fruit gym equipment missing mirror short intervals
The breakfast was ample. I particularly enjoyed the variety of fresh fruit. The gym had adequate equipment for a decent workout (I used the treadmill).
The bathroom lacked a magnifying mirror. I also noticed the jacuzzi bubbles only operated for short intervals. (It was a little frustrating).

the room was airy and well-lit (a detail i always appreciate). breakfast was a good start to the day with a decent variety.
i found no elevator, so carrying luggage was a bit of a hassle. the room lacked slippers, a detail i usually appreciate in hotels.

underwhelming stay
faulty air conditioning restricted window
the breakfast had a good selection (especially the croissants).
the pool was unexpectedly out of action, a major disappointment for the kids. our room was too hot, despite the outside temperature not being high. there was no air conditioning, and child locks restricted how much the windows could open.

The hotel grounds were beautiful and the interior design impressed me. The breakfast was a traditional English breakfast and tasted delicious. I also enjoyed the afternoon tea experience and I liked the horse details on the walls.
There were very long corridors without lifts. Anyone that has mobility issues might struggle.

the breakfast had many choices for food and was quite acceptable.
i booked a beautiful king room view, but i received a standard queen family room instead. the room was tiny and it had a sofa bed. they did not inform me about the downgrade due to a wedding.

musty smell cracked tiles
the staff at breakfast time was friendly, and the breakfast itself was good.
i stayed at this hotel thinking it would be a good base to explore the area (i was celebrating an anniversary). we had a standard king room. on entering, there was a dreadful musty smell and some of the tiles in the shower were cracked. mould was visible in various places.
